The Shire of Dandaragan is seeking public comment on a proposal to charge Shire-licensed extractive industries an annual road maintenance contribution of $0.50 per estimated tonnage of material transported off-site for the lifetime of operation. The purpose of this fee is to cover expenses incurred by the Shire for the repair and maintenance of Council's roads.

The Shire of Dandaragan will bring forward the prohibited burning season, due to dry seasonal conditions and high risk of fire. As of Monday 15 October, the prohibited burning period comes into effect which means there will be strictly no burning up until 28th February 2018.
