Shire Community Grants
The Council and Shire acknowledges the valuable and positive contribution made by community organisations and individuals in the provision of services and facilities to enhance the quality of life within the district for the benefit of the residents and visitors to the Shire.
To support these organisations and individuals, Council will allocate 0.5% of the gross yield of budgeted rates income, to fund recurring and annual community grants in order to assist with:
- programs, activities and initiatives delivered by community groups;
- support community development initiatives;
- increase the range of events, activities and services in the Shire;
- encourage the development of excellence and leadership in recreational, sporting, economic, tourism and cultural pursuits; and
- encourage the promotion of the Shire’s positive attributes.
Tronox Management and Shire of Dandaragan Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund Now Being Assessed
This fund aims to assist local sporting and recreation organisations to purchase items of durable equipment and for providing minor capital improvements. The Shire of Dandaragan has offered this annual funding for over 40 years.
The Tronox Management & Shire of Dandaragan Sporting and Recreation Facilities Grant provides a total of $30,000 to local clubs and community groups within the Shire for sporting and recreation equipment and small scale infrastructure projects each year.
Applications for the Shire grants open in April and close at the end of May annually.

To acquit your 2019/20 grant, use this acquittal form. Acquittals are normally due by 30 June 2020, however due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the acquittal date for projects funded in the 2019/20 round have been extended until 4pm 30 June 2021.
