Livestock and Wildlife


Owners of livestock in Shire of Dandaragan are responsible for ensuring their fences and gates are capable of containing their animals within the boundaries of the property.

Owners of livestock wandering onto public land, roadways or other private property may be liable for any damages or injuries caused. Please report any loose livestock to the Shire Rangers on (08) 9652 0800.


Wildlife is managed by the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation & Attractions (DBCA) who have their own rangers. For more information please visit the DBCA website

Local Government Rangers are not trained to capture wildlife.
