Notice of Public Advertisement of Development Application
The local government has received an application to use and/or develop land for the following purpose and public comments are invited.
Address: LOT 1 ON DIAGRAM 64881, BRAND HIGHWAY, YATHROO
Proposal: Use Not Listed – Renewable Energy Facility
Description: The Shire of Dandaragan is in receipt of an application to amend the Marri Windfarm Development Approval issued on 28th May 2026. The amendment to the development approval proposes to relocate the proposed Western Power Substation to Lot 1 on Diagram 64881, Yathroo, which is the site immediately south to the current approved location (indicated in Figure 1 below). The details of the proposed substation remain the same.
Plans and documentation are available below or by request at the Shire Administration Centre, 69 Bashford Street, Jurien Bay.
Submissions may be lodged at the Shire Office or via dsr@dandaragan.wa.gov.au by 4.00pm (AWST) Thursday 29 October 2026.
