The WA Planning Commission invites you to have your say on the proposed Cataby Power Station
Located on Brand Highway, the Significant Development (Part 11B) proposal includes infrastructure for transmission, access and operations

The development application proposes a gas-fired power station generating up to 500MW with a turbine generation unit, 15 reciprocating engines and infrastructure for transmission, operations and access. The proposal is also known as the Cataby Power Station.

Local residents: The development application documents can be inspected at the Shire of Dandaragan Administration Centre, 69 Bashford Street, Jurien Bay, 9am-4pm weekdays for the duration of the submission period.
Planners from the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage will be available in Dandaragan and Jurien Bay on 14 and 15 October 2026 for meetings with residents (up to two residents per meeting). You can book a meeting via the consultation web page.
