The Shire of Dandaragan has prepared a Draft Community Development Plan 2025–2029, which brings together several important strategies into one framework. This Plan consolidates the Youth Plan, Age-Friendly Plan, Club Development Plan, and Disability, Access and Inclusion Plan to create a stronger, more connected approach to community wellbeing.
The Plan focuses on four key areas:
-
Education and Lifelong Learning – supporting early years, youth pathways, training, and skills development.
-
Health and Wellbeing – promoting active, healthy lifestyles and social connection across all ages.
-
Clubs and Volunteers – strengthening local groups, encouraging volunteering, and supporting community participation.
-
Access and Inclusion – improving accessibility, reducing barriers, and ensuring everyone can participate fully in community life.
Community Consultation
The draft Plan has been shaped by feedback from residents across the Shire, gathered through surveys, town meetings, and conversations in 2025. Input from state strategies has also helped align the Plan with broader objectives.
Seeking Your Feedback
We are now seeking community comments on the Draft Community Development Plan 2025–2029 before it is finalised. Your feedback will help guide the Shire’s priorities and actions to ensure the Plan reflects the needs and aspirations of our community.
