The Shire of Dandaragan has developed the Dandaragan Recreation Precinct Plan to guide the future of sport, recreation, and community spaces in Dandaragan. This Plan provides a clear vision for how facilities can best meet the needs of the community now and into the future.
What the Plan Covers
The Recreation Precinct Plan identifies opportunities to:

Improve and upgrade sporting facilities and amenities.

Create inclusive and accessible spaces for people of all ages and abilities.

Support local clubs, groups, and community events.

Ensure sustainable, long-term planning for recreation in Dandaragan.
Why It Matters
Recreation and community spaces play a vital role in supporting health, wellbeing, and social connection. The Plan sets out a pathway to deliver facilities that are safe, modern, and reflective of community needs.
Community Involvement
This Plan was shaped through consultation with local residents, clubs, and stakeholders. Community feedback helped identify priorities and ensure the Plan reflects the values and aspirations of the Dandaragan community.
Seeking Your Feedback
We are now seeking community comments on the Draft Dandaragan Recreation Precinct Plan before it is finalised by Council. Your feedback will help guide the Shire’s priorities and ensure the Plan reflects the needs and aspirations of our community.
Comments are invited until 4pm Tuesday 30 September 2025. Comments must be emailed to council@dandaragan.wa.gov.au, or mailed to PO Box 676, Jurien Bay 6516.
