The Shire of Dandaragan has secured a five-year community investment partnership with APA Group to deliver ongoing funding for community programs and initiatives across the Shire.
Under the agreement, APA will provide $25,000 in the first year, followed by annual funding of $30,000 over the next four years to support projects that align with the Shire's strategic priorities and deliver lasting community benefits.
Shire President Tony O'Gorman said the partnership would strengthen the Shire's ability to deliver initiatives that respond to local needs.
"We're pleased to partner with APA to invest in projects that build stronger, more connected communities," Cr O'Gorman said.
The funding will support initiatives aligned with the Shire's Community Development Plan, including programs for seniors, youth, children and families, with projects to be developed collaboratively throughout the partnership.
APA’s Head of Power Operations On Grid, Zahra Jabiri said APA was committed to working collaboratively with communities in areas where it operates.
“We are pleased to finalise this five-year partnership to support community initiatives across Dandaragan. APA has an ongoing presence across the Shire through our renewable energy assets. This partnership will support positive outcomes for the community and we look forward to working with the Shire as these assets keep delivering value over the years ahead.”
