PROJECT COORDINATOR (ENVIRONMENT)

FULL TIME - 6 MONTH CONTRACT

The Shire of Dandaragan is seeking a motivated Project Coordinator to lead a major environmental initiative in partnership with the Shires of Gingin and Coorow. This role suits someone who excels in stakeholder engagement and environmental planning, with a passion for achieving meaningful outcomes for local communities and natural areas.

About the Role

The Project Coordinator will deliver the State NRM Community Stewardship Grant project, Managing Coastal Impacts of Vehicles North of Perth (ORV Project). The role is responsible for coordinating and delivering the Coastal Recreational Track Management Masterplan on behalf of the Shires of Dandaragan, Gingin and Coorow. The position plays a key role in supporting sustainable coastal and environmental outcomes through effective project management, collaboration and stakeholder engagement across multiple local governments.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will manage all aspects of the ORV Project, including coordinating on‑ground works, undertaking field assessments and ground‑truthing, collecting and contributing data to GIS systems, compiling costings, and developing detailed work plans. The role will prepare progress reports, funding acquittals, Council agenda items and technical advice for Councils and government agencies, and attend Council meetings when required. The successful applicant will work closely with internal staff, contractors, consultants, volunteers, Traditional Owners, community groups and government stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, sustainably and in line with legislative and funding requirements.
