About the Role
The Shire of Dandaragan is seeking an experienced, community‑focused leader to step into the role of Manager Customer & Community Service. This role provides strategic leadership across our community development, visitor services, and library operations.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will drive key community engagement projects, guide the delivery of high‑quality programs and services, and build strong partnerships with local organisations, volunteers, businesses, and government agencies.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will lead the development, delivery and evaluation of community programs, events and initiatives, while also overseeing the operations of the Turquoise Coast Visitor Centre and Shire libraries.
You will be responsible for providing strategic, governance and operational advice to the CEO and Council. Your work will include supporting community groups with planning, governance, funding applications and project delivery, along with coordinating promotional activities, media relations and public communications that highlight the Shire's initiatives. You will prepare reports, submissions and briefing materials for Council, ensuring decisions are informed and well‑supported.
About You
To succeed in this position, you will bring strong leadership capabilities and the ability to guide and support a small team in delivering high‑quality community services. You will have experience working in community development, stakeholder engagement or a related field, paired with strong project management skills that enable you to successfully juggle multiple initiatives at once.
You will be an excellent communicator, confident in preparing high‑quality written reports and engaging effectively with diverse stakeholders. Your background will include experience supporting community groups, volunteers and external stakeholders. You will hold tertiary qualifications in community development, social sciences or a similar discipline, or possess substantial relevant experience.
