Notice of Public Advertisement of Development Proposal

The local government has received an application to use and/or develop land for the following purpose and public comments are invited.  

Address: Lot 3 on Deposited Plan 408189 & Lot 306 on Deposited Plan 54549, Cooljarloo

Proposal: Use Not Listed – Renewable Energy Facility

Description: The application proposes the construction and operation of a Renewable Energy Facility comprising 27 wind turbines and supporting infrastructure. The existing Cooljarloo (Tronox) mine is also located on the subject site.

Plans and documentation (below) are also available for viewing at the Shire Administration Centre, 69 Bashford Street, Jurien Bay.  

Submissions may be lodged at the Shire Office or via dsr@dandaragan.wa.gov.au by 4.00pm (WST) Tuesday 3 November 2026.
