Notice of Public Advertisement of Development Application

The local government has received an application to use and/or develop land for the following purpose and public comments are invited.  

Address: 2964 Yerramullah Road, Hill River

Proposal: Use Not Listed – Battery Energy Storage System BESS

Description: The proposal comprises a grid-scale BESS with a capacity of up to 100 megawatts (MW) with a 4 – 8-hour duration (400 – 800 megawatt-hours (MWh)) within a 12.3 ha development footprint on the above-mentioned site.

Plans and documentation are available below or by request at the Shire Administration Centre, 69 Bashford Street, Jurien Bay.  

Submissions may be lodged at the Shire Office or via dsr@dandaragan.wa.gov.au by 4.00pm (WST) Tuesday 1 September 2026.
