Expressions of Interest - Audit, Risk & Improvement Committee (ARIC)
The Shire of Dandaragan invites Expressions of Interest for the positions of independent Presiding Member (Chairperson) and independent Deputy to the Presiding Member of its Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee (ARIC). The Committee meets approximately three times per year in Council Chambers at the Administration Office in Jurien Bay. Meetings may be held after business hours and will be open to the public.
The ARIC plays a vital role in strengthening governance across the Shire by providing advice to Council on:
- Financial management and reporting
- Internal and external audit processes
- Risk management and compliance
- Organisational improvement
We encourage applications from professionals with experience in:
- Financial auditing and reporting
- Risk management and governance
- Local government or public sector administration
This is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the transparency, accountability and continuous improvement of the Shire. All independent members must not be Elected Members or employees of the Shire and must meet legislative independence requirements.
Applicants are required to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI). In submitting the EOI form, applicants must provide a recent CV and a cover letter addressing the selection criteria on the EOI Form.
Applications will be received up until 4pm on Friday, 15 May 2026.
Applications are to be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer and can be lodged via email to council@dandaragan.wa.gov.au. Hand delivered or posted submissions can be delivered to the Shire Administration Office, 69 Bashford Street, Jurien Bay WA or sent to PO Box 676, Jurien Bay WA 6516.
