Facilities

Council owns several buildings and facilities in each of it towns that can be rented to the public for Sporting Events, Meetings and Functions. Please note that any public events must be registered with the Shire. Information and event booking forms can be downloaded from the Shire website by clicking here.

Dandaragan

Community Recreation Centre

Located at the JC Grieve Sportsground. Bookings for the Recreation Centre can be made through Landmark on (08) 96514 088. This facility accommodates a variety of activities covering both sports and cultural recreation.

Oval

Bookings for the oval can be made by contacting the Shire of Dandaragan on (08) 9652 0800. 

Badgingarra

Community Recreation Centre

Accommodates a wide range of activities of both a sport and cultural nature. Bookings can be made by contacting Helle Rasmussen on (08) 9652 9086 or 0428 529 086.

Jurien Bay

JURIEN BAY EDUCATION AND CONFERENCE CENTRE 

Located at the back of the Turquoise Coast Visitor Centre and Jurien Bay Public Library, the Education and Conference Centre has a boardroom, three meeting rooms and a hot office, as well as foyer and kitchenette common areas. There is also an outdoor amphitheatre that is open to the public but that can also be booked for events. To make a booking please contact the Shire office on (08) 9652 0800 or click here to book online through Skedda (registration is required for first time users).  

JURIEN SPORT AND RECREATION CENTRE (JSRC)

Located on the northern end of Bashford Street. This facility is a venue for both sporting and cultural activities and has an indoor sports hall, meeting / function room, hot office / boardroom, commercial kitchen facility, change room, squash courts, netball courts, sports oval and the facility is also used to accommodate overflow camping in peak periods.

Family Resource Centre

The Family Resource Centre is a permanent home for the not-for-profit Coastal Kids Incorporated Inc child care facility and within the same building there are also two hot offices and a multi-purpose Meeting Facility and Kitchen that can be hired at hourly or daily charges. Contact the Shire Office on (08) 9652 0800 for bookings.

Recreational Parks

Various parks are located throughout the townsite for community use.

Cervantes

Cervantes COMMUNITY RECREATION CENTRE

This facility is situated on Aragon Street and is open for all sporting and cultural events. Bookings can be arranged through Thirsty Point Liquor Store on 9652 7300. This facility also accommodates overflow camping in peak periods.
