Shire Grants Programs Now Open

The Shire’s Community Grants, Environmental Grants, Tronox Management and Shire of Dandaragan Sporting and Recreation Facilities Grants, and Major Events Grants are all NOW OPEN – closing 30 June 2022.
Don’t miss out on these great opportunities to apply for funding towards events, activities, equipment, sporting/recreation and environmental projects.
Details of the grant programs are:
• The Community Grants Program provide funds to community-based organisations for events and activities in support of the development of social, economic, recreational, art and cultural benefits. The maximum annual grant payable under this program will be $2,000.
• The Environmental Grants Program supports projects that benefit the environment and community through environmental improvement, sustainability education and the promotion and enabling of sustainable living as a way of life. Applicants are encouraged to consider how their proposed project may address issues such as climate change, water wise community spaces, biodiversity, recycling and waste avoidance. The maximum annual grant payable under this program will be $10,000.
• Tronox Management and Shire of Dandaragan Sport and Recreation Facilities Fund aims to assist local sporting and recreation organisations to purchase items of durable equipment and for providing minor capital improvements. To be eligible for the maximum grant of 50% of the project cost should not exceed $40,000 and up to $20,000 is available.
• The Major Events Grant Program aims to encourage greater visitation to the Shire and to showcase the Shire as a desirable destination to live and visit. Large events assist with the development of a robust and prosperous economy and tourism industry and are an important contributor to the creation of vibrant places and an inclusive community. To be eligible for this grant, the event must attract State-wide and/or national and international visitors; have a demonstrated economic benefit to the local. The maximum annual grant payable under this program will be $10,000.
