Under section 3.58 of the Local Government Act 1995, the Shire of Dandaragan hereby advises of intent to dispose by way of lease, 2000m² of depot space at the Shire of Dandaragan Operations Centre in Jurien Bay to Lendlease, for the amount of $60,000 over a term of 5 years with the option for an additional 2 years.

We are pleased to share that the Shire of Dandaragan, working in partnership with the Jurien Sport and Recreation Centre, have been successful in the latest round of the State Governments' Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund (CSRFF), and received a $16,271 grant for the construction of a storage shed adjacent to the centre.

Following the discovery of sinkholes in the limestone ledges north of Sandy Cape campsites, permanent warning signs are now being installed. We encourage people to take notice of signage indicating areas of high risk and use caution along the ledges.

The Shire are pleased to advise that we have received funding from Lotterywest to continue our work on North Head Radar Station site. Funding will allow us to undertake oral history recordings, creation of a dvd/video telling the story of the site, creation of a booklet about the site and it's stories, and development of a conservation management plan.

The Telstra Store in Ocean Keys is coming to Cervantes to provide information to our customers in relation to the NBN, whilst at the same time, provide a fund raising opportunity for the local primary School. We are also sponsoring a visit to the school by Caitlyn Basset, who will run a session for the upper primary students on cyber safety. Our dates of our visit will be the 13th and 14th October, opposite the shops as well as September 19th at the school.
