NEW CEO FOR THE SHIRE OF DANDARAGAN

President of the Shire of Dandaragan, Leslee Holmes is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Brent Bailey to the role of Chief Executive Officer commencing in March 2018.

 The Shire received over 50 applications for the position and the panel interviewed 5 highly skilled candidates. “Mr Bailey had the skills, commitment and dedication to Local Government that we were seeking with 13 years of contemporary local government leadership and management experience.” Cr Holmes said.  “He displayed comprehensive leadership capabilities and a demonstrated track record of developing staff to perform at high levels with appropriate delegated responsibility and internal controls.” 

The panel acknowledged his outstanding interpersonal, people management and relationship building skills.

The Shire Council unanimously endorsed the appointment Mr Bailey and Council looks forward to working with him in the coming years.

Mr Bailey is currently the Chief Executive Officer at the Shire of Jerramungup.  Mr Bailey will be moving to the Shire of Dandaragan with his wife Melanie who comes from Kalannie and their three young children.

Mr Bailey replaces Tony Nottle who has been the Shire’s Chief Executive for over 7 years. “I would like to thank Tony for his commitment to the Shire of Dandaragan during a fantastic period of growth for the Shire of Dandaragan.  I wish him all the best in his new role at the City of Busselton.”  Cr Holmes said.

The Shire’s Executive Manager Corporate & Community Services, Mr Scott Clayton, will assume the Acting CEO role until Mr Bailey commences in March.
