Roadworks
As in most rural shires, the construction and maintenance of roads take a large portion of the Shire’s budget.
This year there are a number of programs in place which deal with the long term planning for the maintenance and upgrading of the road network. These include rural road resealing program, rural road reconstruction program, townsite drainage program.
The following capital roadworks have been budgeted for 2009/10:

While council endeavours to complete all budgeted works, circumstances such as weather, plant breakdown and other unforeseen occurrences do not always allow this to happen. Please see the Budget 2009/10 for full details of all programs.
