Bushfire/Firebreak Information

The Council sets strict guidelines with regards to burning and installation of Fire Breaks. Failure to comply with these guidelines may incur a fine.

1st November – 28th February
Strictly No Burning!

19th September – 31st October & 1st March – 1st May.

No burning is permitted over the Easter holiday period (Good Friday and the 3 days following Good Friday).

Permits are required and neighbours to be notified.

Due dates in which Fire Breaks and / or Fire hazard reduction must be installed are as follows:

Jurien Bay & Cervantes Townsites
1st November

Badgingarra & Dandaragan Townsites
1st November
